NHL bets: Following the fun in Avalanche-Jets

Game 1 between the Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets saw 13 total goals, and while that amount of scoring is likely hard to match, it does chart the course for the type of pace we can expect.

With the Avs likely pushing to avoid an 0-2 hole, I for one think we're in for another fun game, which opens the door for some prop betting paths.

Kyle Connor & Josh Morrissey points (+130 DraftKings)

Avalanche vs. Jets, 9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

I had this duo written down on Sunday but opted to just sit on my Winnipeg moneyline bet, and then they went ahead and combined for five points.

The Jets now have 14 goals in their past two meetings with the Avs and have scored 4+ in all four meetings this season. I still expect them to win, and I expect this game to be high-scoring, so add it all up and I'm hopping on these two to produce once again.

Connor now has points in nine straight games (15 total) and seven points in his last three against the Avalanche. Morrissey has 13 points in his past nine games and 2+ points in all four meetings with Colorado this season.

Artturi Lehkonen & Miles Wood 2+ shots each (+121 FanDuel)

Avalanche vs. Jets, 9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Colorado finished Game 1 with 46 shots, and while that number may be unattainable in two straight games, they should be able to get the puck on net, especially with an extra layer of desperation to knot this series up.

Lehkonen finished Sunday's game with a casual seven SOG on nine attempts, and Miles Wood chipped in three SOG on eight attempts. Both were active in front of the net and scored a goal, and here we are, politely asking for them to each just notch two shots on the night.

Lehkonen has 2+ shots in eight of his last nine against Winnipeg, averaging 3.3 SOG per game, and Wood has nine shots in his last three meetings with the Jets.

I definitely do not hate both of these guys up a number higher, but I'll roll with this safer look from the Colorado end tonight.
