Los Angeles Chargers could go after former division rival with Super Bowl rings
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers currently sit near the top of the 2024 NFL draft and look to be needing some weapons for their premier quarterback, Justin Herbert, to throw to.

They recently let go of their two best wide receivers, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, and will likely look to add to their current group, which features two second-year players in, Derius Davis and Quentin Johnston, both looking to make a leap in 2024.

Because of how their current wide receiver room looks, they could soon be adding to that before the 2024 NFL Draft, but with a former division rival who already has a few rings on his fingers.

ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler said the following on NFL Live Friday:

"I'm told they [Los Angeles Chargers] have some interest [in Marquez Valdes-Scantling] and are looking for a speed receiver out there," Fowler said. "Jacksonville. He lives in that area. They're looking for an extra piece, so he'll have some suitors who could shake out in the next few weeks at a signing."

MVS finished his Kansas City Chiefs' career with 1,002 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and two Super Bowl rings. Now, he could be playing the Chiefs twice a year, but in powder blue and yellow. He would give the Chargers a deep threat with veteran and championship experience - something they desperately need.
