10 players on the Lions' wish list for day two and three of the 2024 NFL Draft
Jordan Prather-USA TODAY Sports

The 2024 NFL Draft is at the end of this week and we can't wait to get this thing going already. On Monday we put out our wish list of nine players that would be huge hits if the Lions drafted them with the 29th pick. Now it's time to talk about the rest of the draft.

We've got 10 players that would be just perfect for the Lions to land at some point in this draft. If they don't, they'll still have a good draft. But if they do, they'll have a great draft. Let's meet the 10:

One of our favorite cornerbacks in the draft. Abrams-Draine is a tackling machine and that's why he fits the Lions so well. Lions GM Brad Holmes talked about about how much he likes tackling with a cornerbacks at the NFL Combine and this guy fits that bill.

Abrams-Draine is also pretty good at stopping the pass too. He allowed a passer rating of 54.7 and picked off four passes. He's a solid corner that should be picked in the second or early third round.

The Lions shouldn't draft an offensive lineman with the 29th pick, but they have a shot to get a very good one with the 61st pick. Haynes is easily the second best interior offensive lineman in this draft and in other years he might go in the first round.

Haynes was a monster at UConn. He allowed just one sack in 2023 and just three in his three years in college. He also allowed just one quarterback hit and 10 hurries. He would be a great future starter for the Lions.

Last year the Lions had a lot of trouble with the bigger receivers. One way to combat that would be to grab a bigger cornerback. Preferably one that's pretty good too. That's Hart.

Hart had a solid season at Notre Dame in 2023. He allowed a passer rating of 67.1. Team's seemed to avoid him last year. He was targeted just 28 times all year and allowed 15 catches for 137 yards and no touchdowns.

There is just so much to like about this player. Vaki is a pretty good safety that could play in the Lions rotation, but he's also an offensive player that the team can bring in on special plays. He can also return kicks. You have to love a player that play on all three phases.

Vaki had one interception, two pass breakups and two sacks on defense last year. He had 517 total yards and five touchdowns on offense. He could be had in the fifth round.

I've been a big Johnny Wilson fan for a while now. Ask anyone at the combine or the Senior Bowl. I talked about him a lot. It's hard not to think that a 6-foot-7 receiver that can run a 4.53 could be successful. Plus that unbelievable 84.5 inch wingspan is just insane.

Some think that Wilson is destined to be a tight end, but at the combine he told A to Z Sports that he's a receiver and that no team has talked to him about being a tight end. Wilson can be taken in the third-round.

We've talked about McMahon a lot because he has a ton of versatility and upside. McMahon started at left guard, right guard and center at North Carolina State. He was solid in all three spots.

The idea here is that you get the next Graham Glasgow at best. A player that can slide around and start at multiple positions. At worst you get Evan Brown. A player that can spot start anywhere off the bench and be solid depth. McMahon can be drafted in the sixth round.

Spectacular catcher is an understatement. Pearsal made one of the most amazing catches I've ever seen in 2023. The picture doesn't do it justice. I highly recommend you look up his one handed catch.

He brings more to the table than that though. Pearsal is a solid receiver that has the speed to get open and then make plays after the catch. The one concern is that he's a little on the lighter side at 192 pounds. That's not too crazy though.

This guy is crazy fast. He ran a 4.36 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine this year. That speed is nice after watching Cameron Sutton getting roasted by every receiver in the NFL last year.

The interesting thing is that you can do stuff with him on special teams as well. He can play gunner and he can also return kicks for the Lions. It would be interesting to see that speed with the new kickoff rules.

Prichett can be drafted in the fifth or sixth round.

The Lions could use a safety in this draft and if they don't get Vaki, Mustapha is solid safety that would work well in the Lions rotation. He has a lot of the tools the Lions like at the position.

He can go in on a safety blitz. He had 3.5 sacks for Wake Forrest in 2022. He can also tackle with the best of them. He had 61 total tackles last year and had a missed tackle percentage of 12.4%. That's pretty good.

If the Lions are going to draft a kicker, this should be the one they draft. Karty has a great leg that's capable of hitting 60 plus yard kicks and he has clutch ability to hit those kicks to win games.

There's some interest there from the Lions. They attended the Stanford pro day when he was the only player working out and he appears to be in Detroit as I type this sentence. No word yet if that is for a top-30 visit or not. We will update this when we know for sure.
