NBA Props for Thursday Oct. 26: This Buck starts here

Yesterday was the first "full" night of NBA game action. That is all it took to get super frustrated too. Raptors center Jakob Poeltl was at the scorer's table for a few minutes late in the fourth quarter, but never got back into the game to get that 12th rebound we needed to cash.

However, at least we got Charlotte big man Mark Williams in that head-to-head rebound battle against Clint Capela, those H2H bets are good markets because they do not always require noteworthy performances to cash.

Anyways ... on to this evening's short slate of TNT games — 76ers at the Bucks, and Suns at the Lakers.

NBA Props — Thursday, October 26

Brook Lopez 8+ Rebounds (+290)

This is an alt-line, which is why we get the great payoff. I do think that it is very fair for a couple of reasons. First, the matchup will encourage the Bucks to play Lopez more than normal. They want to have a big presence on the court against Joel Embiid. The other piece is the fact that the opener, especially with a couple of new coaches is not likely to be the most crisp game. There should be plenty of caroms to corral.

Tyrese Maxey Assist Leader for the Game (+800)

The greatest beneficiary of the James Harden situation is emerging guard Tyrese Maxey. He is just going to have the ball in his hands a lot more and that is why this prop jumped off the screen to me this morning. Damian Lilllard is at -120 and Giannis at +250, both are solid plays but the extra bang for your buck is hard to ignore. Maxey should at the very least lead the 76ers in assists and that is half the challenge.

Kevin Durant Over 2.5 Three-pointers (+110)

It looks like Devin Booker is not going to play tonight. That is a shame for Phoenix given how good he was in the Suns opener, and because Bradley Beal is not suiting up just yet. It also means they are going to be that much more reliant on Durant tonight. Durant is one of the most versatile scorers in NBA history. He is going to really have to mix it up tonight and some of that is looking for some easy possessions.

Josh Okogie Over 4.5 Rebounds (+110)

Okogie is a very versatile piece for the Suns. He had a strong opener with 17 points and 5 boards. The loss of Booker for tonight helps as it might add a minute or two to his ledger, plus whoever replaces him "truly" won't be as efficient, so there will be some more rebounds up for grabs. Plus they need him on the floor against a Los Angeles team that has some strong individual offensive players. He can post another 5 board easy.
