Happy Valentine's Day! You should have a little more cash in your pocket if you followed last night as we were 2-1 to start the week.
The Hawks fell flat in Charlotte, but New York got an easy win — and Bradley Beal lit it up against the Warriors in a loss.
Tuesdays are always a little quiet in the Association. There are just five games tonight but three good ones, maybe two because Phoenix is not quite whole yet.
NBA Sides: 32-21-1
NBA Props: 17-10
Winning Days: 20 (of 27)
Atlanta Hawks -5.5 (loss)
Just when I thought the Hawks were getting reliable. My bad.
New York Knicks -2.5 (win)
New York was in control for the second half against the Nets, pulling away for an easy cover.
Bradley Beal Over 32.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (win)
33 points from Beal made this one an easy win.
Portland Trail Blazers -3 (vs. Washington Wizards)
Both teams played last night. Portland won, and Washington lost. The Blazers were hot shooting, and when you are feeling good a back-to-back is not such a bad thing. Both teams are missing some key players, but the sum total is that top guard Damian Lillard is still the best player on the floor for either side. With the moves they made at the trade deadline, the Blazers are one of the most athletic teams in the league. Washington is going to struggle to keep pace tonight.
Sacramento Kings +2.5 (at Phoenix Suns)
Having top scorer Devin Booker back in the lineup is big for the Suns, but they are still missing critical depth with Kevin Durant out. In their last game, they started Torrey Craig and Josh Okogie at the forward spots, and that makes it harder for their better players to operate. Yes, the Kings have been on a roller coaster of late, but they are fully healthy. They are the top-scoring team in the league, and their depth will show tonight. The Suns home arena does not offer any real advantage either. Maybe look at the moneyline here too.
Keegan Murray over 17.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
The Kings will try and set a good pace at Phoenix tonight. I like Murray because his rebounding has really stabilized. In five of the last seven games he has had at least six boards. That takes some pressure off his scoring tonight, but I think we can count on him to get to his season average of 12 points per game. That plus those boards gets us close to the cover. Phoenix is very light up front now so his matchups are even more favorable.
