What up guys and gals I've been busy renovating my home! Its been a long and expensive process so I took a break from blogging to earn a little sweat equity! Renovating a home can be very time consuming.

I know its been a crazy football season thus far, so.... tell me, what's been on your mind? Do you guys have any questions? Please ask me anything! Right now the N.O. Saints are the best team in football. They have my vote for a super bowl run this year.

    lol yes I am taking lil man trick-or-treating. he will be wearing a stylish Power Ranger costume. And he's very excited! don't worry about it not being football related... We can chat about life any day.

    Okay cool. I blog because its a fun way to get to know the fans and their thoughts. plus I always meet people and they wanna talk football or life, and they always seem to have so many questions. this is a easy way for me to reach out to them and help them to understand what we go through from a Day to day basis. I'm a people's person and I like conversation. plus Blogging is a great way to build your fan base as well.

  What did you think of the Vikings/Pitt game?? I thought the Vikings beat themselves, and how does a Nose Tackle line up offsides???
  And who do you think will be playing for the AFC and NFC championchips??
  My guess NFC: Saints vs. Vikings AFC: Colts vs. Pats

    Lol its not as hard as you think to line up offsides. In football, both sides of the ball do every thing they can to beat their opponent. One thing is to cheat the line of scrimmage. the closer you get to the quicker you get to your opponent. Most of the times the Refs won't call it, but then there's those games where the Ref feels like doing his job. Pitts Is a tuff team to beat. especially at home. When we loose a game like that, the team that looses usually does a bunch of things throughout the game to beat themselves! Things happen so fast out there that mistakes are easily made. I think you have extremely good choices. I'm looking for a Saints Colts Super Bowl this year. but the year is still young, so any thing in this league can happen.

    I would assume with a wet saw! I did all my cutting my self and thats what I used! but I'm not sure about Glass because all my tile was travertine! I'll find out for you!

    You need a wet chop saw, like a power mitre saw but with a water feed. Depending on how brittle the glass is, you may also want to cover the surface with masking tape. You can rent wet saws, which even some contractors do, as that type of cutting is not a common occurrence.

  It's amazing how much money you can save with a little sweat equity. My parents have renovated most of their house and did a major remodel (took it down to the studs and moved a load-bearing wall) of their kitchen/family room a few years back. My mother handles the concept, design and finish work; my father is the DIYer. For as long as I can remember he's been the family's carpenter/plumber/electrician/painter/roofer/mechanic etc. etc. Poor guy, with all the women in his life (a wife and 3 daughters) he's always being put to work!

    Your dad and I (and your Mom) could no doubt talk all night about home repairs and renovations, Shan. I got my love of `doing` from my Mom. She was an absolute whiz at refinishing things; chairs, tables, ottomans, a Baby Grand piano. For myself, I`ve put a new roof on my house, rewired much of it, installed shelving, sheetrock, lights, hands-free light switches, a chandelier, and on and on. The contractors around these parts hated me for years. All in the past, though.
