Bring On The Questions? I Have The Answers!

What's up Yardbarkers? I know you all are probably saying its been a while since I came on and wrote a blog. Honestly I didn't wanna waste anyone's time with my boring everyday activities. You know, working out, grocery shopping, finishing up school, being a daddy and a husband, community work, etc... So I decided to answer your questions this time around. Since I am sitting out right now, not playing and just watching training camp this year I seem to have a lot of time on my hands. So please feel free to ask me your deepest questions and thoughts about the NFL and what we do! Football has been a huge part of my life since I was 5 and its not gonna stop now... Feel free to ask me anything and I will do my best to answer your thoughts as clear and as honest as possible!

Have you always wanted to be a football player? What else did you want to be when you were younger? Would you encourage your son to be a pro athlete? Thanks & keep smiling!

  Yes I have always wanted to be a football player but I did want to be a police officer, baseball player and special opps guy/navy seal. and I think at one point I wanted to be fireman. And I would not encourage him to be a pro athlete but I also don't wanna discourage him either. I want him to be what ever he wants to be. Hopefully he will be a successful human being! more than anything I wanna encourage him to be a good husband and father.

  I'm definately waiting patiently for this phone to ring. I am definately not retired I'm working out hard every day to try to be better this year than I have in my past two!... these last three years my body has taken a beaten but I'm starting to feel like my old self again!

  The best advice I ever got? hummmmmmm I honestly do not know! i like save 1$ out of every 10$ and 10$ out of every 100$. Also Pain Is only Weakness Leaving the body! Lol Jerry Moore Huh! Great coach! The best advice he ever gave me was "Come to App State"! I speak to coach moore probly once a year directly! sometimes more depending on the events surrounding our conversations!

  Finally a good comment from MR. Monster. lol... Heres your answer Sir. Ray gets the entire team ready to play! Hell I think he gets the other team ready to play! he is Mr. excitement. I dunno if you have ever been to a Ravens game at M&T BANK STADIUM or not but his intro is absolutely insane! he always has some sort of inpirational speech thats surreal! I'm gonna be real with your Monster before I went to the Ravens I wasn't a Ray believer and I thought the any dogs in the house chant was corny! but once I got there and lived it in person I ended up being his hype man for 5 years... lol. its insane... wish u could experience it your self!

How do you balance the demands of the NFL with your family life? I have to imagine that it's difficult living and working in another state than your wife and child (during the season, that is).

  Yes football is very demanding and honestly there's not much balance! When there's football there's football, when there's no football then thats family time! Its really hard and draining on your relationship... but unfortunately work comes pretty much 1st its what pays the bills and gives us our opportunities to travel and live comfortably. We all have to make sacrifices during the season... Me, my wife, and my family... As ball players we try to spend every free second with our families! But its truly hard... Some weeks are worse than others and some coaches, organizations and situations are worse than others! Some Coaches say family 1st and mean that.. But then there are the coaches that say family 1st and are lying right to your face!

  Who's the funniest teammate I ever had! LOL, man thats a good question to... The NFL is filled with Characters they all are funny in their own right. I would probly have to give you my Top 5! in No particular order. Deion Sanders, Corey Ivy, Gary Baxter, Orlando Brown, Samari Rolle wow thats funny to me that most of these guys are DB's... but i guess it holds true the BD's usually have the most character out of all the positions on the field!

  Bart Scoitt is definately the toughest because he knocked the crap out of me one day and i will never forget it! and he also can cover and not afriad of anything! Suggs is a beast too! i'm saying these guys because i hadf to see them everyday!
  
  the best QB in the game right now. wow thats tuff i would have to say Payton/Brady/Rothlesberger because of their accomplishments and what they bring to the table!
  
  App State you can expect an upset every year they are an amazing team plus the coaches don't have any egos that makes them better! unfortunately they are down one of their key components tho! their star Qaurterback... They need that kid...

Well in The NFL you hate every team. As a player you kinda take on the emotions of the city and the true fans! So yes as a Baltimore Raven I hated the Steelers... LOL... as a free agent No i don't hate them at all! thats about as honest as i can be with that question!

  LOL I did not grow up hating the Steelers! but i did hate them last year! I playted for their head coach Mike Tomlin in Tampa! And I played with James Harrisson In Germany And James Farrior in New York! So I have a few connections there! Plus Ben Rothlesberger is a pretty cool guy! at least he was when I met him! So I hate to play against them and I hate loosing to them! I also hate playing them in Pittsburg there fans are INSANE! plus when they win they have bragging rights! and that sucks!

Daniel - How do you feel about fans? If you were leaving the stadium and a 10-12 year old boy asked you to sign something, how would you handle the situation? Also, I know some people can be a little nutty, did you ever have a "stalker" and how bad did it get?

  I love fans they are amazing they make what we do worth while and exciting! I always sign for the kids its just hard at times because after a game ur tired, I'm usually with family, and sometimes kids can be the rudest people. But i blame that on their parents! Plus you know if you sign on e you have to sign a million more! so either way it go your an asshole! the thing is some don't know who you are! so if they don't know then why ask for an autograph! no i'm finished taking up for the other players... how i would handle it is I would sign it and tell them that i'm only gonna sign a certain number because I have family waiting on me and I have to go! Yes i have had a stalker or two of my own! its pretty wierd i just told the team security and they handle it! it helps to be good friends with the head of security!

  Bart Scott "The Madd Backer" Gave me the hardest hit I have ever taken In practice and on the Field It was a Line backer from San Diego Chargers Hit me on the goal line in Baltimore on the 1 yard line, made me fumble the football. It was the hardest and most embarrassing hit ever. LOL. wow I still can't believe that happened. It wasn't Shawne Merriman! I Never got his license Tag number.

Razah it's hard to describe the type of sound it's more like aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeee ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt! and then its the thump of your body hitting the turn and that church bell starts to ring and u see stars like in the Tom and Jerry Cartoon! LOL!

  Okay Cowboy u are killing me with this question. Man The AFC to me is pretty easy i think Miami will pull it off although its gonna be a tough year for all these teams! the NFC is almost impossible. I would have to pick between NYG and GB but I also feel like Chicago has a very strong possibility. Good luck buddy I know Its gonna be painful on this years decisions. I know i didnt help much. Sorry!
